Here are 85 comic books scheduled to be released on July 31, 2024.
This is just a sample of the new releases hitting the shops this week; you can find a full list of titles at the New Comic Book Release List. I used my own preferences in determining which comics to include in the list below. Only issues with a cover price less than $10 are shown here (with the majority being only $3.99 or $4.99 each). Only the regular covers ("cover A") are shown, not any of the variant covers (which sometimes cost more than the regular edition), unless otherwise noted below. The titles are listed in alphabetical order.
Previews of the first few interior pages of many of these comics are available to view online. I have provided links to the previews for each issue if I know about a preview (and "N/A" if I don't). That may save you the trouble of wanting to peek inside the comic when you see it on the shelf of your local comics shop! (Of course, not every shop will automatically carry every new comic, so pre-ordering is recommended -- especially when it comes to independent comics.)
This week's news: DC is releasing only four periodicals this week, including a facsimile edition of Justice League of America #1 (from 1960). Marvel, on the other hand, is releasing a whopping 17 periodicals this week -- and that's not counting all the 2nd printings and variants. A backup serial titled Deadpool/Wolverine Weapon X-Traction has been running through various Marvel comics and this week you can find Part 3 in Fantastic Four #22, Part 4 in Spider-Gwen: Ghost Spider #3, and Part 5 in Immortal Thor #13. The most popular titles to be released this week (among all publishers) are likely to be Marvel's Amazing Spider-Man #54, Ultimate Spider-Man #7 and X-Force #1 (renumbered for the "From the Ashes" era). Ending their runs this week are the mini-series Annihilation 2099, Blood Hunt, and (apparently) the Captain Marvel ongoing series.
So, what comics are you looking forward to this week?
